About The Irish Soda Bread
As a Master Baker with over 42 years of Baking experience I have been asked on numerous occasions to create different types of Bread and Irish Soda Bread was one such suggestion from one of my regular Irish customers.
After numerous attempts and recipe refinements I have created a traditional Irish Soda Bread which is baked to my own unique recipe that my Irish customers are delighted with. So much so they have encouraged me to create this website exclusively to promote and offer my Irish Soda Bread to more of the Irish community
Traditionally bottom oven baked the 9oz, 225gm round Irish Soda Bread is baked using only the finest natural ingredients and has a nutty, treacle flavour with a firm and crusty feel when you break the bread just like your Irish mother would bake (or so I’ve been told by my Irish customers who love it).
My Irish Soda Bread has become an instant hit with the local Irish community and I have been asked to produce Irish Soda Bread to friends and family both locally and further away from our bakery in Sidcup. To ensure freshness the Irish Soda Bread is re-baked in a pre-heated oven to reconstitute the crust for 5-8 minutes at gas mark 6, 400 f, 200 Celsius to ensure the bread arrives fresh as if it has just come out of the oven.
I am pleased to offer my traditional Irish Soda Bread which is freshly baked and packaged in a crush proof box sealed with a protective film to retain the goodness and fresh baked taste and posted direct to your door for next day delivery. This website will enable you to enjoy my traditionally baked Irish Soda Bread I look forward to your custom and comments
About Dennis Machin – Master Baker
I first started in the Bakery industry way back in 1961 at the tender age of 16, and after 6 years of training and baking I started my first bakery in Wallingford, Berkshire in 1967. Eventually selling the business 4 years later I moved to Sydenham in South London where I ran another Bakery business for a further 6 years building up a loyal clientele. I then moved to Beckenham, Kent and from there finally moved to suburban Sidcup in Kent where we have been for the past 20 years and where we currently run one of our high street bakeries, the other being in Orpington High Street which was opened in 1998.
As a family business both my wife and my 40 year old son work within the bakery and my son has worked with us for the past 21 years learning the baking business.
I love baking great food and still enjoy every day baking fresh wholesome produce and hope you enjoy my latest creation Irish Soda Bread.
